The Wende Museum
The Wende Museum of the Cold War is located in Culver City, California. The Wende Musuem is named after the “Wende” a German word meaning “turning point” or “change” that has come to describe the transformative period leading up to and following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The mission of the museum is to preserve Cold War art, culture, and history from the Soviet Bloc countries. The Wende Museum is based in the recently renovated former National Guard Armory building constructed in 1949.
